Why you should sponsor Project Bar-B-Q

The hard-working Project Bar-B-Q attendees have improved our industry in many ways. As difficult as this industry is right now, how much more difficult would it be without BBQ?

See the names on the left? They are the Project Bar-B-Q Sponsors--the people who are responsible year after year for taking the strongest action possible to really improve our business and expressive environment by keeping BBQ alive. They have real credibility in the industry. Those in the know feel a deep, sincere sense of thankfulness towards the BBQ Sponsors.

How did your company get its credibility? By the cumulative hard work of every single employee, by each individual knocking himself out to keep corporate promises, by having success and influence year after year after year, and by eventually earning the respect of industry peers.

Now what PR move do you use to follow that up? Hmmmm. Maybe a conference get-together with finger food and a drawing for a door prize. A press release or a big ad. Perhaps some snappy T-shirts featuring a pun or a picture of your product?

Be careful with your company's hard-earned dignity. Try something that really carries weight--Project Bar-B-Q Sponsorship.

BBQ is the most prestigious, influential, and beneficial event in the computer audio industry. Its attendees are the cream of the crop, and for many, their most enjoyable and most productive days of the year are spent at this event in Texas. All associations with BBQ are positive--and for some, almost mystical.

You can participate in that magic.

Let the world know that your company is elite among the elite. Sponsoring Project Bar-B-Q is the real deal, not just a show of hype--it helps the industry get better in ways that your peers feel every day.  When you participate, the industry will understand that you're a big player, and a necessary part of the business.  Doesn't your company deserve that recognition?

A Special Note About Composer/Developer Sponsorships:  Frequently, independent composers, as well as developers from small but important companies, are unable to afford some or all of the attendance fee.  Their voices are not the less important because of this.  BBQ has benefited greatly in the past from attendees who were sponsored.  Without them, many of the amazing accomplishments of BBQ would have been lessened or nonexistent.  It is important for our industry to hear from its many brilliant voices, regardless of their financial status.

Your $800 sponsorship does not cover the cost of one attendee, but, it can help him/her get to BBQ.  If that attendee just needs some financial assistance, your sponsorship may enable attendance.  Or, with the contribution of another sponsor and the contribution of Project Bar-B-Q, we can completely sponsor an important audio industry voice.  This small sponsorship can make a huge difference.
